The girl’s golf team for FedHock Lancers this year has 12 members and is run by Coach Emily Thompson and Coach Levi Thompson. Most girls on the team are the same as the first year “First year was learning how to play, this year is about getting better,” Coach L. Thompson said. “They finished 3rd out of 9 teams in their conference (TVC) and placed 4th at sectionals at Franklin Valley Golf Club, and advanced to the District tournament at Pickaway Country Club.”
Their season starts August 1st and ends around the beginning of October.
When asked how they’ve improved Coach L. Thompson replied, “Yes! They have made incredible progress. ALL of them have made big strides because last year we had to teach the rules and etiquette of golf whereas this year, they learned how to get better at the game… The school should know that they have gotten 4th at sectionals and made it to districts even though it is just our second year in our school’s history.”
