My husband is in the United States Coast Guard. and we live in New York right now, but we will be moving next summer to our new station. I am a full time body piercer at Skin Hooked Tattoos and Piercing. I went through a thorough apprenticeship to become a body piercer. It took a while to find an apprenticeship, but it’s so rewarding when you find the right shop to take you on. You definitely have to have a passion for body modification and be willing to learn as much about it as possible.

After high school,  I got a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ohio University.  Currently I work for the National Park Service.  I am the Superintendent of two of the newer units of the National Park Service. (Birmingham Civil Rights National Monument and Freedom Riders National Monument)  Right now, I'm on a temporary assignment to Flagstaff, Arizona as the Superintendent of three parks. Brandy Russell, Class of ’99

I am a Microbiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention working with vector-borne diseases. My primary responsibility is managing a historical arbovirus repository. I've had the opportunity to travel internationally and work with government institutions and NGOs to promote public health. As a Federal employee I've been able to volunteer to deploy for disease outbreaks in various settings; performing diagnostic testing during an Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone, screening international travelers for COVID-19 at LAX, and working in HHS to support two separate administrations on a Testing and Diagnostics Working Group in Washington DC.
