Have you ever been a senior ready to graduate? Have you ever been so eager to get out of school? Well many seniors at Federal Hocking High School are.
The seniors are eager to get out of high school and go to college or find the career they want to begin. Many are in internships related to their future career such as early education, veterinarian offices, construction, or anywhere they are interested in working at to get a feel of how that job works.
About half of Fed Hock seniors are located at FHHS and the other half are at Tri-County Career Center. Many seniors at FHHS are set and ready to go to graduate and start their career. Jackson McGrath is a senior at FH and he is interested in getting into a welding career.
“My plan after high school is to continue working for HI-VAC welding big tanks together,” McGrath said.
Addison Jackson is planning on going to Marietta College and majoring in health science. She is also going to be a member of the women’s golf team.
When you think of high school you think of the fun times you had with your friends, like clubs, sports, and even school events.
“My favorite high school experience was going to volleyball camp my freshman year of high school,” Audree Chapman said.
Lucas Crow’s favorite high school experience was the senior skit because it was fun.
Many seniors liked being able to hang out together throughout high school. One thing that brought many of the seniors together was Senior Assassin. Senior Assassin is where all of the seniors have a team and they have a certain target every week and they have to use water to get their target out, but they can’t do it in school. They are allowed to do it on school grounds outside. If you have a float on your body you can’t get out. The floaty is the safe zone.
Many seniors say they liked it because it was fun and they can do it whenever.
“Some of the rules discombobulated me but I’m glad its a thing we are allowed to do,” McGrath said.
“I think it is a super fun game but it has been hard to participate recently because all of the last minute things are coming around that I have been busy with,” Chapman explained. Now you can see how eager the seniors are to get out of high school. We wish them the best of luck!!
