Sports with Covid

We all know Covid-19 is a big deal and has been something we have been dealing with world wide since 2019. With it almost being 2022 we have been finding new ways and coming up with strategies to deal with this pandemic for a rough 2 years. I’m sick of it, you’re probably sick of it and everyone is ready to go back to normal.

With school going back to “normal” and everyone trying to get back to their normal pre-Covid lives, we as a community are trying our hardest to fight off Covid. On the topic of school and students coming back, it makes things a little trickier to follow the Covid safety precautions.

A lot of athletes and sports teams do not wear masks when doing their sport, which is understandable because it could make it harder to breathe and takes up more time on water breaks. Since athletes can’t wear masks while doing their sport, do you think that it should be mandatory for athletes to be vaccinated?

Being vaccinated not only helps you and keeps you healthy, it helps those around you and keeps your friends and family healthy. The vaccine has been proven that it has helped our community for those who are willing to get it. It has also been proven to be 90% effective to help younger kids from getting Covid.

We don’t really know the long term effects of the vaccine and it’s understandable that some people cannot get it because of their health. There have also been so many fibs that have gone around about the vaccine which many people believe are true.

Honestly getting the vaccine is your choice, but do you think all student participants in school sports should be vaccinated because on top of it being your choice to get vaccinated, it is the schools choice on the players and it is their highest priority to keep everyone safe.
